A workforce and operations consulting firm built for growing businesses.
Cordell & Associates is a boutique workforce and operations consulting firm helping growing companies design employee onboarding systems, HR documentation, standard operating procedures, and process improvements that lift operational efficiency as headcount scales.
Growing businesses deserve better workforce systems.
Most growing businesses reach a point where the way they run their people stops working. Employee onboarding depends on whoever is available. HR documentation lives in inboxes and desktops. Standard operating procedures exist only in people's heads. Owners answer the same questions week after week.
None of that is a failure of leadership — it's the natural result of a business growing faster than the systems inside it. But left alone, it quietly costs money, momentum, and operational efficiency.
We built Cordell & Associates to fix that. Not with generic consulting and not with more software — but with practical workforce systems, documented processes, and small-business HR support that give your team a clear way to operate as you grow.

A short, honest introduction to who's behind the work.
Preston Franklin
Founder
Preston founded Cordell & Associates after seeing how quickly growing businesses lose consistency once hiring picks up. His background combines a Business Administration education with hands-on workforce operations experience — including employee onboarding, process improvement, documentation, and operational organization.
He believes small and mid-sized businesses shouldn't have to choose between growing quickly and running professionally. The work here is intentionally practical: clear documentation, structured onboarding, and repeatable systems that a real team can actually maintain.
We're candid about scope — we don't provide legal, payroll, tax, or benefits advice — and we'd rather earn trust through clarity and follow-through than oversell what we do.
What makes this feel different to work with.
Three commitments that show up in every engagement.
Practical over theoretical
Every artifact we deliver is something your team will actually run — not a framework, not a slide deck.
Documented over improvised
Nothing important lives in someone's head. Processes, decisions, and materials are written down and reviewable.
Boutique over generic
You work with the principal on your engagement. Not a rotating cast, not a call center — a small firm that answers for its work.
What every engagement is measured against.
The four principles that shape the work.
Organization
Turn scattered tasks and tribal knowledge into clear, documented systems your team can actually run.
Consistency
Every new hire gets the same experience. Every manager follows the same playbook. Every process is repeatable.
Practical Documentation
Materials that read cleanly, live where people look, and hold up as the business grows.
Continuous Improvement
As your business evolves, your internal systems evolve with it — not the other way around.
Let's talk about your workforce systems.
